Subsidized Housing Application

Your Subsidized Housing Application will place you on the waiting list for the following programs based on information contained in your application regarding your household size and household income. The waiting period for assistance is approximately (3) three to (4) four years, but could be reduced based on additional factors such as age, disability, homelessness or other specific health and safety issues. All programs grant a preference to families that live or work in Howard County.

Housing Choice Voucher Program - provides rental assistance to low income families.

Public Housing Program - provides rental assistance to low and moderate income families requiring three (3) to four (4) bedroom units.

Subsidized Housing Program - provides rental assistance to low and moderate income families.

Senior Housing Program - provides rental assistance to low and moderate income persons 62 years of age or older.

*Low income is defined as income that falls below 30% of area median income and moderate income is defined as income that falls below 50% of area median income.
