EXEMPTIONS

Commercial or residential Maryland state-certified industrialized buildings will not be assessed a fee for fixtures that have been included with the certification.

Plumbing work on buildings owned by Howard County, Maryland, the Howard County Board of Education and the Howard County Community College requires plumbing permits but is exempt from permit fees.

Technology Fee

A 10% technology fee will be collected on all permits and on site utility contractor licenses. the technology fee is not collected on the permit application fee.
