Diversity Forum

OHR provides educational forums on the culture and experiences of the various immigrants groups in the County with representatives from these groups as spokespersons. Forums have been presented to the Police Academy and the Fire Department.

Fair Housing Seminar

OHR, in collaboration with the Howard County Board of Realtors, sponsors seminars on Howard County Fair Housing Law for realtors. Real Estate agents, Brokers, etc. who voluntarily participate will receive CEU credits.

SECTION 8 CLIENTS BRIEFING

In cooperation with the Department of Housing and Community Development, OHR briefs Section 8 clients on Howard County’s Fair Housing Law including the source of income bases. OHR informs people on how to recognize housing discrimination and where to get assistance for discrimination related problems.
