Revenue Authority Public Hearing The Revenue Authority was created to finance or operate cultural, recreational (excluding golf courses), and parking facilities. The Authority’s board of directors meets at least monthly, generally the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m., and meetings are open to the public for the purpose of hearing and receiving suggestions and proposals as to projects which the Authority should consider undertaking. Proposals can come from individuals, groups or organizations. Proposals should address how and to what extent the proposed project would benefit the citizens of Howard County; also, because Authority projects must be self-supporting, proposals should address issues of expected costs and revenues. Memorial Day Holiday All County Government offices, courts, libraries, animal shelter and the landfill will be closes in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday. There will be no trash or recycling collection on Monday, May 26; trash will be collected the next day, Tuesday, May 27 for both Monday and Tuesday routes. Those with Monday recycling will have pick-up on the following Monday, June 2. Parking meters must have conce and parking regulations will be in effect on Monday, May 26.
