HT Ride Conducts Passenger Survey

ELLICOTT CITY, MD – During the month of February, HT Ride, the County’s local curb-to-curb bus service for seniors and people with disabilities, is conducting its first ever passenger survey. HT Ride, with a customer base of approximately 2,000, provided more than 100,000 trips in 2007.

“As Howard County is currently undergoing its five year transit development plan, it is absolutely essential that we hear from those who use this service to know if their needs are being met,” said County Executive Ken Ulman. Information gathered through the paratransit survey will assist the County and State in evaluating future demand.

The surveys are being administered along a dual track. Staff is distributing the surveys in cooperation with Howard County senior centers, local non-profit human service agencies and senior residential facilities. Those customers not affiliated with these agencies will receive a copy of the survey in the mail. The survey is available in alternative formats – large print, Braille, and others upon request.

For more information contact Corridor Transportation Corporation, manager of Howard Transit and Connect-a-Ride, at 1-800-270-9553.
