SENIOR CENTERS

Located throughout the Howard County community, Senior Centers and Senior Center Plus sites are hubs for recreational, educational, and social activities. Whether you want to line dance, take a class, discuss a book, chat over crafts or play cards, you'll find an activity that suits you.

Senior Centers provide daily lunch programs, health screenings, and information and referral services to all seniors. Membership is free, while some programs and activities require pre-registration and nominal fees. Senior centers also offer a by donation daily lunch program that is nutritious and affordable to everyone. Howard Transit will provide transportation to the senior center nearest to you for a small fee.

Senior Center Plus sites offer a State certified social model day care program to serve the needs of the limited functioning senior age 55+. Staffed by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, the activities are structured to facilitate the functional independence and cognitive awareness of participants. A sliding scale fee covers the program, morning snack, lunch, and most activities, and for eligible participants public funding is available. Transportation, to and from the program, is provided by Howard Transit's paratransit service for a small fee.
