Hiking Trails

Historic Mill Trail
This trail is a .8 mile trail, level enough for strollers and bicycles, beginning at Bollman Truss Bridge and ending a few hundred feet past the stone dam abutments near the Middle and Little Patuxent rivers.

Wincopin Neck Trails
These are natural surface trails with some steep slopes. Each segment is marked with a corresponding color blaze to help you find your way.

Savage Loop Trail
The Trail is 1.4 miles with some rocky, downhill terrain. It follows the Little Patuxent River. If you travel North you will connect with the Patuxent Branch Trail. If you travel South you will end up by the mill race along the Middle Patuxent River at Savage Mill.

Help to keep your parks beautiful -- please take your trash and recyclable items home.

Dog droppings may attract disease-harboring pests, and even a friendly dog can scare the birds, wildlife and park visitors. Mutt-Mitt dispensers are located in the park. Clean up after your dog and keep it leashed; it's the law.

All of our parks are inhabited by a wide variety of wildlife such as deer, snakes, fish, rabbits, insects and birds. Please do not disturb them; remember, this is their home.
