Traffic Forecasts

The Department of Planning and Zoning (410-313-2357) provides long-range traffic forecasts for the county through use of the MINUTP computer model and traffic counts by State Highway Administration (SHA) and Public Works traffic engineers. Analysts annually review the Maryland Department of Transportation consolidated transportation program, and study SHA plans and programs for consistency with the General Plan.
