HOW TO VOICE SPECIFIC CONCERNS Council Legislation Your testimony is welcome at public hearings of the County Council (410-313-2001) held the third Monday of each month except during August and December. County Government Offices and Services Call the department head, bureau chief or office administrator. Discrimination Complaints Network of Neighbors assists citizens who are victims of racial, religious or ethnic incidents. For information, call the Office of Human Rights (410-313-6430), which investigates complaints of discrimination. Education The Board of Education meets at 4 p.m. each second and fourth Thursday to determine educational standards and goals, adopt policies and determine a budget. Call the school system's Public Information Office (410-313-6682) to verify meeting dates. Fire and Rescue Services To express your suggestions or concerns regarding Fire and Rescue services, call the department's Customer Service Line (410-313-6000). Howard Community College Contact the department head or call the Office of Public Relations (410-772-4810). Park Design You can play a role in the design of your community's park. Call the Department of Recreation and Parks (410-313-4700). Public Library Write or call the Library Director (410-313-7750).
