ELLICOTT CITY, MD – Howard County’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will host its next Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) public meeting virtually on Thursday, July 24th from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. For it’s July quarterly meeting, OEM will be joined by representatives from the Howard County Health Department to discuss how to prepare for extreme heat and air quality concerns.
Held quarterly, the goal of LEPC meetings is to enhance Howard County’s preparedness and response to emergencies by involving the government, private businesses, non-profit organizations and residents in planning and preparing for natural and human-caused disasters and other incidents.
