Youth Residential Treatment refers to campus-based evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents with severe, chronic emotional disturbances. This treatment option provides a self-contained therapeutic, educational, and recreational program in a residential setting.
If a family member or client under 18 years old would benefit from residential treatment and you would like to make a referral, contact YouthCoordinatorBH@howardcountymd.gov.
The Local Care Team provides a forum for families of children and youth with intensive needs to access information on available community resources and services. The team is comprised of representatives from the major child serving agencies, as well as a parent advocate. The group reviews information about the child/youth and then works together with the family to identify programs and services that can best assist child and family needs (serving youth ages three to 21).
If you are interested in getting connected to the Local Care Team, please complete a referral here. If you have questions or need assistance completing a referral, please contact YouthCoordinatorBH@howardcountymd.gov or call 410-313-6202.
