ELLICOTT CITY, MD – A Howard County construction project to stabilize the stream banks through the Wood Creek stream near 5381 White Mane between MD 108 and Carroll Mill Road in Ellicott City, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, October 20th. This project includes vegetative plantings and the installation of stone walls to prevent further erosion and stabilize the stream bank and to protect nearby residences. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late March 2026.

Signs will be posted in the project area to alert residents and pedestrians of the construction work, which will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The project is not expected to impact vehicular traffic in the area.

This project is funded through the County’s Watershed Protection and Restoration Fund.
