The Howard County Department of Public Works’ (DPW) Stormwater Management Division will hold a community outreach meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 , at 6:30 pm,  in the Pindell Room of the Glenwood Library Branch located at 2350 MD Route 97, Cooksville, MD 21723 to discuss the Sharp Road Pond Repair Project.

The proposed project will repair the existing stormwater management facility located at 4081 Sharp Road, Glenelg, Maryland. The project will replace the existing principal spillway and riser with a concrete principal spillway pipe and riser structure. There will also be some grading done to the pond. The project is scheduled to commence construction in June of 2025.  Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed in December of 2025.

The informal meeting will include an overview of the design of the repair work for the pond through a PowerPoint presentation, followed by a question-and-answer session. County staff and the project’s design consultant will be on hand to answer any questions and gather public comments.

Those unable to attend the meeting who would like to view the plans and/or have questions, should contact Michele Monde with DPW’s Stormwater Management Division at 410-313-0844 or email mmonde@howardcountymd.gov.

Please note that this community outreach meeting was NOT an official Howard County Library System event.  If you have questions about the meeting, please do not call the library.
