Zoning Map Amendment Petition
Petitions to amend the County's Zoning Map are filed with the Department of Planning and Zoning in accordance with the Zoning Map Amendment Process. Planning and Zoning provides a technical staff analysis, which is forwarded to the Planning Board. The Planning Board will then make a recommendation to the Zoning Board who ultimately approves or denies the map amendment request.

A Presubmission Community Meeting is required prior to filing a Zoning Map Amendment request.
Fee: $2,000 for petition, plus $2 per acre for map revisions (if granted), advertisement fees, $50 poster fee, $510 for an additional hearing.
