Howard County Executive Calvin Ball today announces the launch of the County’s Department of Inspections, Licenses and Permits new commercial HVAC/Mechanical Permitting Program and inspection request/result process.

A Howard County construction project to replace approximately 12,000 linear feet of water mains and accessories along Eliots Oak Road from MD 108 to Blacksmith Drive and Hesperus Drive between Round Tower and Open Window in Columbia, is expected to begin on or about Thursday, May 1st. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late May 2026.

The new space will hold a 340-seat dinner theater, public art gallery and 174 mixed-income rental units
