Howard County’s Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is now accepting applications for its Moderate Income Housing Unit (MIHU) program July open enrollment period. Applications are available online or can be requested by contacting DHCD’s Housing Opportunities Programs Division at 410-313-6318 and select option two, email housing@howardcountymd.gov. Applications are due by 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022.

Ground-based sparklers are illegal in Howard County

Howard County’s Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, July 20th to present plans for the construction of a flood mitigation facility (Pond H-4), that is part of the County’s Ellicott City Safe and Sound plan. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. and take place in the Columbia/Ellicott City Room of the George Howard Building, located at 3430 Court House Drive in Ellicott City.
