US 40 Pedestrian Improvement Project to Begin
A Howard County construction project to install 600 linear feet of sidewalk along eastbound US 40 from Rogers Avenue to 8659 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 5th. Howard County Government offices, courts, animal shelter, 50+ centers and Alpha Ridge Landfill will be closed in observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 27th. As there will be no Monday curbside trash, recycling, yard trim or food scrap collection on Memorial Day, the County’s holiday "slide” schedule will be in effect for the remainder of the week.
