In a letter to the Board of Education, Ball also requested they use a portion of its $43.5 million federal Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund III to match the County’s $8 million commitment to support educators.

A Howard County construction project to stabilize a portion of stream near the Centennial Park North Area pedestrian bridge in Ellicott City, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, September 27th. The second phase of a two-phase Howard County construction project to improve stormwater drainage between Lincoln Drive and Wye Avenue in Jessup, is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday, September 29th. The project was originally expected to begin in June; however, it was delayed. Weather permitting, this phase of the project is expected to be completed by late January 2022.
