CSX Transportation will begin maintenance on the railroad crossing at Marriottsville Road at the Howard/Carroll County line in Marriottsville, starting around 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9th.

Howard County’s Department of Public Works will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, November 30th at Lisbon Elementary School to present plans for a bridge replacement project adjacent to 3590 Daisy Road.
“Merry Mulch” Your Holiday Trees from December 26th Through January 21st
Howard County Government Department of Public Works’ Bureau of Environmental Services is once again offering residents a variety of FREE holiday tree recycling options through its “Merry Mulch” program. All collected live trees are delivered to the Composting Facility at Alpha Ridge Landfill and recycled into compost and mulch.

Phase two of a Howard County construction project to reduce erosion along the stream banks of the Bonnie Branch at 4740 Bonnie Branch Road in Ellicott City, is expected to begin on or about Monday, January 9, 2023. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late February 2023.
