A Howard County construction project to rehabilitate a retaining wall along the westside of Beechwood Road, near 4671 Beechwood Road and next to County Bridge HO-156 in Ellicott City, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 18th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by early September 2025.

In response to high temperatures forecast by the National Weather Service, the Howard County Health Department has issued a heat alert for Howard County. The alert has been issued for Thursday, July 17 until 8pm.

A Howard County construction project to rehabilitate a 14-inch sewer main and an exposed manhole near the intersection at Mission Road and Guilford Road in Jessup, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, July 21st. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed by late September 2025.

A developer project to demolish the pedestrian bridge over the Little Patuxent Parkway, just south of Wincopin Circle in Columbia, is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, August 11th. Signs will be posted to alert motorists and residents of the work and corresponding detour, as Little Patuxent Parkway between Wincopin Circle and the main entrance to Whole Foods Market will be closed in both directions from 8:00 p.m., August 11th to 8:00 a.m., August 12th. Weather permitting, the project is expected to take one day to complete. Brookfield Properties is overseeing this developer project.
