Injury Prevention
The goal of the Child and Adolescent Injury Prevention program is to lower the number of injury related deaths and disability for children in Howard County. This is done by looking at the causes of intentional and unintentional injuries in children and starting prevention programs.

Programs
The Health Department manages this program in partnership with Cribs for Kids®. The program provides safe sleep education and a new portable crib to eligible families in need. Supplies are limited.
A referral is required
Due to limited funding, donations are accepted and appreciated. We are able to accept cash, checks or money orders (made out to Howard County Finance).
This program is for Howard County residents only.
